Daywise Itinerary

Arrive at Guwahati airport, received and transferred hotel. After refreshment visit Kamakhya Mandir, Balaji Mandir and also visit Shankardeva Kalakshetra. Evening enjoy the river cruise on the river Brahmaputra.
Overnight at Guwahati.

Breakfast at hotel and transferred to Shillong (110km) – known as Scotland of the east is a popular hill station of north east India. En-route visit Umium lake (Barapani lake) – largest manmade lake of the state Meghalaya. Evening free for shopping at Police bazar.
Overnight at Shillong.

After breakfast, will go for a day long excursion to Cherrapunjee (65 km) – the wettest place in the world. At Cherrapunjee enjoy the numerous waterfalls like Nohkalikai falls, Mawsmai falls, Dainthelen Falls and also experience the adventure of caving at Mawsmai cave. On way to Cherrapunjee will visit Elephant falls and Shillong view point – to have a bird eye view of the Shillong city. Evening drive back to Shillong and stay overnight.

After breakfast take your drive to Silchar (250km, approx). En-route visit Nartiang – famous for the largest collection of Monoliths erected by the lieutenants of Jaintiapur King. On arrival at Silchar check in hotel. Overnight at Silchar.

Today after breakfast, drive to Agartala (309km) – the capital city of the state Tripura and the place of Royal Palaces and Temples. Evening free for shopping and stay overnight at Agartala.

Morning after breakfast excursion to the lake city Udaipur, The main attractions in Udaipur are Tripura Sundari Temple, popularly known as Matabari, one of the 51 Pithas of Hindu Puran, Bhuvaneswari Temple, Gunabati group of Temples, Vast Lakes with scenic beauty.

Today will drive back to Silchar to break your journey towards Aizwal. Overnight at Silchar

This morning proceed to Aizwal (170km) - the scenic capital of Mizoram. On arrival at Aizwal check in hotel. Overnight at Aizwal.

Today morning go for Aizwal sightseeing. At Aizwal visit – Mizoram State Museum on Macdonald Hill for a deeper insight into Mizo culture & shop for traditional crafts. Visit Bara Bazar & Luangmual Handicrafts Centres. Overnight at Aizwal.

Today morning drive back to Silchar. On arrival at Silchar check in hotel. Overnight at Silchar.

Drive to Imphal – the capital city of the state Manipur (260km). On arrival at Imphal check in to your hotel and after refreshment visit Govindjee Mandir and Kangla fort. Evening free for leisure. Overnight at Imphal.

 

This morning proceed to visit Loktak Lake and Keibul Lamjao National Park. Loktak Lake is the largest fresh water lake in the North-East. The Keibul Lamjao National Park is located in the south western part of Loktak Lake is the only floating park in the world, visit INA Museum – containing letters, photograph, badges of ranks and other memorabilia that reminds the noble sacrifices made by the Indian National Army under the charismatic leadership of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose and visit the War Memorial. In the afternoon visit Ima bazaar at Imphal and stay overnight.

Today will head out to Kohima – the capital of the state Nagaland (165km). En-route visit Kisama heritage village showcasing different Naga houses and related articles. Evening free at leisure or visit local bazaar.

Today morning ready for Kohima sightseeing. At Kohima visit- The World War II Cemetery that lies in a beautiful surrounding - it’s a tribute to the warriors who made supreme sacrifices in the battle of 2nd World War, then you will proceed to North East largest Cathedral-Bishop’s Cathedral, the Bara Basti, the Nagaland State Museum.

Today morning proceed to Kaziranga National Park (215km) – a World Heritage Site and Tiger Reserve, covering an area of 430 Sq km. It is the home to more than 80% of world’s Rhino population. En-route at Dimapur visit ruins of Kachari Kingdom and Hot water spring at Garampani. Evening free for leisure. O/N at Kaziranga.

Early morning Elephant ride (5.30-6.30 a.m./6.30 -7.30 a.m.) in the Central / western range of the park. Back to resort for breakfast and rest of the day till lunch is free to explore the nearby places. After lunch enjoy an exclusive Jeep safari in the Western / central range (2.30 p.m. onwards) of the park - ideal for grassland and big game like One Horned Rhinoceros and Water Buffaloes. Back to the resort before it gets dark.
O/N at Kaziranga.

Drive to Nimati ghat (120km) and cruise on the river Brahmaputra to reach Majuli Island. Majuli is the largest river island in the world and a center for neo - Vaishnavite culture of Assam. Visit Auniati Satra, Uttar Kamalabari Satra and Garmurh Satra. The Satras are the neo – Vaishnavite monastery to perform the various religious activities. After noon take the return ferry and reach Kaziranga for overnight stay.

Today drive to Bomdila (245km) - the headquarter of west Kameng District of Arunachal Pradesh and also known for its Buddhist monasteries. It has a lot of attractions for the visitors for its cool climate. En-route visit Tipi Orchidarium a place over 7500 orchids, on display there are some rare species of orchid. Arunachal has largest range of orchids in the country then take a break to visit Nag Temple. On arrival at Bomdila check in to hotel and stay overnight.

This morning check out from hotel & visit Bomdila Monastery & proceed to Tawang (180km) – the land of Monpa Tribes & major centre of the Mahayana Buddhists. On the way to Tawang lies the world’s second highest pass – Sela Pass (13700ft) which run through a small ridge & along a lake called Sela Lake. And visit Jaswantgarh, a memorial to the brave soldier who single handily tried to hold of approaching Chinese from the pass during the 1962 Indo-Chinese war. On arrival at Tawang check in hotel.O/N at Tawang.

Tawang local sightseeing – visit Tawang monastery, War memorial, Bhramadungchung ani gompa and in the evening enjoy the shopping at local market. Overnight at Tawang.

This day will take return journey towards Bomdila (180km). While coming from Tawang will visit Urgelling monastery – birth place of 6th Dalai Lama, Narunang waterfall at Jang. En-route at Dirang will visit Dirang Dzong, Kiwi garden then will continue the drive to Bomdila.

Today after breakfast, head out towards Tezpur (165km). Arrive Tezpur in the afternoon and rest of the day free at leisure. Overnight at Tezpur.

At Tezpur visit – Mahabhairava mandir, Chitralekha uddyan , Agnigarh and Ganesh Ghat. Then drive towards Guwahati (205km). On arrival check in to hotel and stay overnight at Guwahati.

After breakfast drive to Guwahati airport to board the flight for onward destination and the tour concludes here.
